Conversion Components has been developing and manufacturing conversion kits to enable the fitting of modern 5 speed gearboxes into many classic cars since the early 1990’s.

Colin sources used, but exceptionally well-conditioned gearboxes from Japan, primarily Toyota, and though used these units are often received in pristine condition, and in the rare case where there are obvious signs of wear, Colin will ensure that all parts are carefully restored to perfect condition before onward despatch. Conversion kits, whether you are after an Aston Martin gear box conversion or seeking to upgrade your Ford, Rover or Chev to a 5 speed manual transmission classic car, will contain all that is required including an aluminium cast bell housing, clutch fork, pivot, slave cylinder, conversion clutch plate, pressure pale and a speedo conversion kit – along with an exhaustive installation guide. However, it is highly recommended that the work be carried out by an experienced engineer, mistakes can prove to be costly!
